I know what you're thinking — VaHooDoo? It's a name that makes people stop and ask, and that's exactly the point. Let me tell you the story behind it, because the name is the brand.

“Va” comes from Valhalla — the heavenly hall in Viking mythology, a nod to my family's Norse heritage and the idea that something sacred lives in these plants.

“VooDoo” came from a family joke. When I started down this path of holistic healing, my loved ones would laugh and say I was doing “that VooDoo stuff.” I kept the name. Because yes — to some people, believing that God put medicine in the earth sounds a little like magic. To me, it always sounded like faith.

Together, VaHooDoo means Heaven's Plant Healing.

This isn't just a brand name. It's a declaration. I believe, deeply and without apology, that God gave us plants as medicine. That the earth holds everything we need to support and nurture our bodies. And that honoring those gifts — through prayer, through study, through intention — is one of the most faithful things we can do.

That belief is woven into every single thing we make.

I've been studying plants, formulas, and the ancient wisdom of herbal healing for more than 15 years. My journey started long before VaHooDoo Healing had a name — it started with questions. Why do so many people feel like they have to choose between their faith and their wellness? Why does modern medicine and ancestral healing have to be treated like opposites?

I never believed they were.

What I practice — and what I pour into every product — sits at the meeting place of Christian faith, Native and Ancestral folk plant traditions, and modern holistic care. That's not a marketing phrase. That's my actual life.

I'm a certified herbalist. I research constantly. I formulate in small batches in my home workspace, praying over what I make and asking for guidance on what goes in and why. My faith isn't the background of this brand — it's the foundation.

Everything we offer is rooted in three things I've come to believe with my whole heart: that plants heal the body, that knowledge feeds the mind, and that God's word nourishes the soul. You'll see that philosophy in every product, every ingredient choice, and every word we write.

Every product that leaves our hands was made in a small batch — which means it was made with attention.

We're not a factory. We're a family-run operation where I personally formulate, mix, and review each product. Our ingredients are plant-based and sourced from suppliers who practice ethical and sustainable sourcing. Where I can, I grow ingredients myself.
