Heaven's Plant Medicine

Amber Grove

Sweet Orange & Cedarwood Body Bar

$10 per bar, preorder.

The Story

A grove at golden hour. Amber Grove is cut from the same cloth as Tallow & Honey: one hundred percent tallow, a 7% superfat, raw honey stirred into the warm oils. Then the sun comes through: sweet orange leads the scent, bright and warm, while cedarwood sits underneath as the fixative that holds it. The honey warms the bar to an amber-gold the color of its name. The wash is dense and creamy, and the scent walks the line between orchard and forest — citrus at the front, wood at the finish.

The Ritual

Morning shower, or the wash after a day outdoors. Work the bar into a creamy lather, smooth over skin, rinse. Let the orange do the waking.

Meet the Ingredients — Story, History & Science

Beef Tallow (Bovine Lard)

The history: Tallow is the original soap fat, the hard white bar of the old household, rendered from the kitchen and saponified with lye.

Traditional use: The farmstead soap fat, the bar that lasted the winter.

The science: Its fatty-acid profile is close to the skin's own sebum, which makes for a mild, creamy-lathering bar that leaves skin feeling conditioned, not stripped.

Raw Honey (Mel)

The history: Honey has been found unspoiled in Egyptian tombs, the sweet that never goes bad, the offering of the hive to the gods.

Traditional use: The healer's sweet, stirred into balms and washes for millennia.

The science: Its natural sugars boost the lather while its humectant nature draws moisture to the skin; it also warms the bar to a soft amber-gold.

Sweet Orange (Citrus Aurantium Dulcis)

The history: The grove fruit of the Mediterranean, carried east and west on every trade route, the orange that made growers rich.

Traditional use: A household scent for everything from wash-water to wedding bouquets.

The science: Steam-distilled, so there is no sun-sensitivity worry on skin; its limonene reads bright and clean and helps lift grease from skin without stripping it.

Cedarwood (Cedrus Atlantica)

The history: Cedar kept temple doors and pharaohs' coffins sound for millennia, the wood that time respects.

Traditional use: The forest's quiet resin, used in incense, chests, and skin salves.

The science: A natural fixative: its heavy base notes anchor the brighter citrus oil on top so the scent holds in the cured bar instead of flashing off.

How to Use

Lather between wet hands or a soft cloth, smooth over skin, rinse. Keep the bar dry between uses on a draining dish.
