Heaven's Plant Medicine
QUIET EVENING
Botanical Bath Tea
The Story
A cup of tea, for the whole body. Quiet Evening is a muslin bag of oats, chamomile, lavender, and rose, plus a separate sachet of magnesium flakes for the water. Steep it in a warm bath, squeeze the bag, and the tub turns soft and pale gold. It's the botanical version of putting your phone in another room.
Meet the Ingredients
Rolled oats
colloidal oatmeal has been a skin-soother in folk medicine for centuries, and modern dermatology still uses it in clinical formulas; oats in the bath water turn it silky.
Chamomile
the apple-scented herb of Egyptian sun gardens and every European bedtime tea; its flowers carry apigenin, one of the most-studied soothing compounds in herbalism.
Lavender
cleaned linens and calm nerves since Roman laundry day; the flower that made Provence smell like Provence.
Rose petals
rose has been in baths since Cleopatra's; its petals carry gentle astringent tannins and an aroma that does most of its work before you even sink in.
Magnesium chloride flakes (separate sachet)
the mineral of Epsom-salt tradition, dissolved straight into the water.
How to Use
Pour the magnesium flakes into warm running bathwater and let them dissolve. Steep the botanical bag in the water like a giant teabag, gently squeeze, remove, and discard.
